Vintage Crystal Lamp Barovier & Toso

We have a pair of Barovier & Toso’s Ercole table lamps in clear crystal.    Italian company Barovier & Toso has been making mouth blown crystal in Murano since 1295, and this design was introduced in the 1940s, using their newly developed rostrato glass blowing technique . The lamp is still in production today, but only in smaller sizes than this rare vintage pair from the 1950s or 1960s.   

When lit, the impact is striking and glamorous.  A lower wattage light bulb will produce the effect of a candle-lit chandelier; a higher wattage bulb gives the impression of ice. 

This is a heavy lamp, and each lamp comes in two pieces.
