Sthål was founded by two Swedish souls, Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg in 2010. With backgrounds as graphic designers, illustrators, stylists and cookbook creators, the pair took the natural progression infusing their passions with their love for great food and good company.

Sthål Ceramics was launched with the first collection ‘Arabesque’ in 2012. Designed in Sweden and crafted in Portugal, the inspiring design and practical pieces have evolved into a complete collection of modern stoneware designed with the lasting quality of a future antique.
