T H Robsjohn Gibbings Sofa

T H Robsjohn Gibbings (1903-1976) was a British-born American furniture maker and interior designer.  He favoured a classic, clean style that enthralled the American and Hollywood aristocracy from the 1930s onwards, despite it being (or perhaps because it was) an absolute antithesis to high society’s opulent and overblown tastes at the time.   

The sofa can easily accommodate three people, and unsurprisingly it is very comfortable.   It has been reupholstered.

Be advised: unlike many modular modern sofas, this is a single, wood framed piece which cannot be disassembled.   It will not fit into an average lift.
